There have been multiple TV shows and autobiographies about the Royal Family, and now Prince Harry is taking the narrative into his own hands with the release of his own tell-all memoir.
The Royal Family is said to be bracing itself for the possible bombshells to be dropped in the book.
It is sure to be on many people’s ‘must read’ lists, but when will the Duke of Sussex’s memoir be release – and what can we expect?
Here’s everything you need to know about the explosive book.
When will Prince Harry’s memoir be released?
The tell-all account of life in the Royal Family will hit the shelves on January 10, 2023.
The book was originally set to be released in late 2022, though this was pushed back several times.
This was reportedly due to re-writes the Prince made, including an account of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
The 416-page book will come out in 16 languages, and will also be released in an audio edition read by Prince Harry himself.
Information on how much the novel could cost and how to preorder it are yet to be announced.
What is it called?
The book will be called Spare, which is believed to be a reference to Prince Harry’s position in line to the throne.
Harry has grown up as third in line to the throne, behind his father, King Charles III, and older brother, Prince William, now Prince of Wales.

What can you expect from the book?
Publisher Random House has promised an ‘intimate and heartfelt memoir’ that ‘will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him’.
The memoir is said to cover everything from ‘his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father.’
Speaking about what the memoir will include, The Prince has said: ‘I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
‘I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story – the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned – I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.’

Buckingham Palace is said to be nervously waiting to see what secrets Harry chooses to spill.
A source told The Sun: ‘Charles has shared his concerns with William and is keen he somehow goes on the record and sticks up for Camilla should the book attack her.
‘But as much as William loves his father, he’s unlikely to want to get involved. In all likelihood, he will try and stay neutral.’
A royal insider also told The Mirror: ‘There is a now tsunami of fear among the royals over what Harry will write. Many hope he may correct a few things but do not hold much hope.’
How much was Prince Harry paid to write it?
Prince Harry got ‘at least $20 million (£17 million) up front’ from Penguin Random House to write the memoir, according to Page Six.
The book is part of a three-book deal worth more than £36 million, reports The Telegraph.
Some of the proceeds from Spare will be donated to charity.
The publisher confirmed this is in the form of two donations of £1.3million to Sentebale and £300,000 to WellChild.
