Kevin has become the seventh baker to be eliminated from the Great British Bake Off 2022.

The fan favourite sadly reached the end of the road of his GBBO journey on Tuesday after a disastrous time during custard week.

Kevin, 33, was a huge hit with fans, and his custard had impressed judges Dame Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, however his showstopper let him down.

The Scottish native kept his spirits high as he was eliminated however, and paid tribute to the ‘talented bunch’ of bakers he was up against.

‘The imposter syndrome is real,’ he said.

‘Coming into this competition I didn’t feel like deserved a place, but I feel I can count myself as one of this talented bunch.’

And in a letter to fans upon leaving the tent, Kevin admitted Bake Off was ‘one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but… I’d do it all over again tomorrow.’

‘Thank you to whoever had the ridiculous notion to let me loose in the tent!’ he joked.

‘I hope I’ve brought a little joy to the show and those who cheered me on at home.’

He went on: ‘In our part of Scotland we take life seriously, but don’t take ourselves too seriously, and so I shall continue.’
