Married at First Sight UK stars Jordan Emmett Connelly and Chanita Stephenson are still going through their own ‘little rollercoaster’ as they rekindle their romance, even though it was previously revealed that he dumped her over FaceTime.
Chanita and Jordan stunned viewers during the reunion episode when they walked into the dinner party alone, and tearfully shared that they were no longer together.
The couple had been one of the strongest this series, with all of us voting in their favour, including their fellow contestants and the experts.
But, all isn’t lost, as despite him breaking things off over FaceTime after filming the series, Chanita confirmed that they’re still on their own little rollercoaster.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, she told us: ‘We’re still on our own little rollercoaster, you know, watching the show it’s hard, and the feelings get brought back up.
‘Jordan’s spoken out since the show and he’s said that he wants to make things happen and try and get me back, but I suppose for me it’s more about his actions not his words.

‘I’m here for the apology and I loved that the recognises that some of his behaviour and actions have not been good, but I’m more now concentrating on the actions rather than the words.’
During the reunion episode, Jordan admitted that he still does have feelings for Chanita, and during an appearance on Unveiled, he was called out by hosts AJ Odudu and Judi Love for ending things over FaceTime.
‘When we came out of the experiment, Jordan’s efforts changed significantly,’ Chanita began to host AJ.
‘I could just see that his heart wasn’t in it, and then he finished with me over FaceTimed, and then I knew,’ she continued.

‘I want somebody that values me for me and wants to fight for me, and thinks I’m great!’
When Jordan was called on FaceTime in front of the live studio audience, he shared: ‘Sometimes I don’t think things through properly,’ adding, about whether he wants her back: ‘That’s what we’re doing now, we speak everyday, we FaceTime everyday.’
Talking about how she felt when he called things off over FaceTime, Chanita told us that she felt she ‘deserved a lot better’.
She said: ‘It was really upsetting to say the least, yeah I wasn’t expecting it.
‘I think with intuition you know when somethings changed and the vibes change, so when I called him up and said we really need to discuss this, I wasn’t expecting when we were on FaceTime that the relationship was going to end.

‘I was really hurt by it, one because I thought I deserved a lot better than being dumped on FaceTime, and that could have been something we did face to face, and two because I felt like I’d been strung along because I was questioning him and raising my concerns, and he was kind of brushing it under the carpet.
‘So I was really hurt and I wasn’t in the best of places when that happened, you put so much into that experiment, and yeah it’s an experiment but actually that’s people’s lives, their emotions and everything else are entwined, so I really had to pick myself back up.’
Chanita also admitted that while rewatching the show has helped her ‘reminisce on the memories’, the last few episodes were ‘really painful’.

‘I’ve gone through it all again, I’ve been back on that rollercoaster,’ she said.
While Chanita believes that Jordan stayed genuine and true to himself during the experiment while filming, she did admit ‘questioning his motives’ after the dumping.
‘I think he is [genuine]’, she told us, continuing: ‘But I think he says a lot of stuff he doesn’t realise, and I don’t think he realises at times what he’s doing and what he says.

‘He’s so impulsive and says something without thinking, and I think watching the show back it is difficult because he was questioned by the others.’
She referred to one of the dinner parties in which Jordan was ‘referenced’ as someone who is not the same as they are in the group, saying: ‘So that is difficult because then I’m like, “Well, what are we seeing?”‘
She continued: ‘And I think what is difficult is to see him talk about me on homestays. That made me take a step back and I thought it was quite negative and I thought, “I haven’t heard this before.”

‘I’d like to think yeah [he is genuine], but I can’t lie, I have had to question his motives just because of how things have ended. I suppose that’s the cynical side of me.
‘And you know, that’s what the mind does, doesn’t it? It starts wondering and you’re thinking all starts, and I have thought about it but I would like to think he has been genuine.’
Will the pair last through their little rollercoaster? Only time will tell…
