A black Labrador called Maverick was scared completely stiff after seeing decorative Halloween cats ‘prowling’ in the front garden of his home.
The poor pup had no idea what to do after being confronted by the sight of the gang of plastic felines in Texas.
In the video, filmed by owner Lilly Flores, the dog appears completely frozen at the sight of the black cats.
One of Maverick’s owners said ‘his tail’s not even flinching’ while a young child can be heard laughing.
Lilly, who is an ER nurse, laughed at her pet who refused to move even when they called his name.
Maverick did not move a muscle even after she moved around the black cats to pan the camera.
The dog remained frozen still until a man showed him how to escape the cat trap.
He said: ‘Come on dude, it’s okay!’

Maverick immediately began to wag his tail after he was freed from the decorations at the house in Ingleside.
Flores posted the video on her TikTok page, and it now has been viewed over 12 million times.
Some said that the dog was so still he looked like one of the fake cats.
One wrote: ‘I’m not convinced he’s not just another decoration.’
Another said: ‘I wouldn’t have believed it was a real dog if he didn’t break stance at the end.’
