Paige Thorne has claimed Love Island producers stopped her from talking to Jay Younger in the villa.
The 24-year-old paramedic – who has confirmed her split from Adam Collard since leaving the ITV2 dating show – has insisted she wasn’t allowed to speak to him ‘for a week’ after he came into the villa, despite him being her ‘type to a tee’.
Appearing on the Saving Grace podcast, she said: ‘Jay came in, he was my type to a tee, and then I wasn’t allowed to speak to him for a week. We just kept apart.’
Podcast host Grace Kelly asked if that was when Jay was speaking to Ekin-Su, and Paige replied: ‘Yeah and that was the time I was getting to know Jacques, so Jacques has come in two days before then Jay came in and then weren’t allowed to get to know each other.’
The reality star suggested Love Island show add a disclaimer that the content has been ‘enhanced’ for entertainment purposes.
‘You know how shows come on with a warning before it’s on, “This show has been enhanced purely for your entertainment?” It should probably come with that warning, I will be honest,’ she suggested.

She added: ‘It’s TV at the end of the day. It isn’t as it seems.’
Paige also hit out at the challenges, and insisted she’d have liked to see some more variety in the tasks the Islanders were given.
She argued: ‘You do a sexy dance once, aren’t they all the same? So why do we keep doing sexy, “sexy” stuff, do something fun.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Paige discussed her split from Adam, amid allegations he had cheated on her.
Photos emerged of fitness trainer Adam with his arm around another woman inside a McDonald’s after a night out, while he was then pictured partying in Ibiza looking particularly close to another girl at a pool party.
‘I’m single – living my best life. No I’m kidding, it’s been a really s**t time,’ she admitted, before shutting down any chance of a reconciliation.
She said: ‘Absolutely not. I mean, would you? Would you get back with someone like that?’
Meanwhile, Adam recently said his piece about their split and spoke highly of his ex, telling The Sun at the National Television Awards: ‘We’re not together. Things happen. But I mean she is a great girl.’
