Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has revealed she is pregnant with her first child.
The 28-year-old shared the adorable news in a sweet video on social media, which showed updates sharing the announcement with family and friends as well as the pregnancy test.
The star rose to fame on the winter series of Love Island in 2020, and has kept her boyfriend away from the public eye in recent months.
However, earlier this year she told So This Is Adulting podcast: ‘I’ve been dating someone who is also a surrogate dad to my fur babies.’
Fans and friends rushed to congratulate Shaughna on the announcement, with fellow Love Island star Molly Smith writing: ‘Ahhhhh congratulations angel’ while Kendall Rae Knight penned: ‘Literally so so happy for you both!!’
Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan wrote: ‘BABEEE 😭 congratulations!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ so happy for you!!!’ while Vicky Pattinson added: ‘Omg!!! Congratulations beautiful girl.’
At the end of the clip, Shaughna teased that her baby was due in March 2023.

Speaking about keeping her relationship private, Shaughna added to the podcast: ‘I used to say [to my dates], “I’d like to keep my relationship private, if that’s ok with you?”
‘And if they said, “oh no, why would you keep my private?” I’m like, red flag.
‘But this guy was like, “I don’t ever want to be in the public eye anyway,” and I was like, I like that answer.
‘Ever since then, we’ve been going from strength to strength, and I like that because anyone who opts in for everyone to know their every move, like myself, is weird.’

The news comes after Shaughna fainted during the National Television Awards last week, and was carried out by her manager.
She later explained to her Instagram followers: ‘I just want to put it out there that I wasn’t drunk. I nearly fainted. I don’t know what happened to me.
‘I just had this absolute dodgy turn, and yeah, I had to take my shoes off and be helped out by my manager.’

She added: ‘Just in case anyone did see and thought she’s seen better days, correct.
‘I wasn’t drunk, thanks.’
On Love Island, Shaughna was coupled up with Callum Jones at first. before he brought Molly back from Casa Amor, leading to her iconic ‘Congrats hun’ moment.
Earlier this year, Shaughna tested positive for HPV following a cervical screening, and opened up about how ‘terrified’ she was.

Offering an update on her health following the screening, Shaughna posted a photo of a medical leaflet and explained the ‘borderline changes’ her results showed that ‘require further examination’.
‘A few weeks ago I told you that I was having my routine 3-year smear test, and urged anyone who’s missed their appointment or thinks they’re overdue one to book,’ she began on her Story.
‘Yesterday I received my results and have had changes to some of the cells called “borderline changes” that require further examination. I also tested HPV positive.

‘Of course, I was absolutely terrified initially and although everyone I’ve spoke to has reassured me how common this is, it is still scary,’ she added.
‘There’s certain language used that I didn’t realise I still have a real hard time hearing, “biopsy”, any word ending with “oscopy”, and of course, “cancer”, are all associated with trauma for me. So reading them in a letter addressed to me really, really knocked me,’ Shaughna shared.

The influencer then praised the people she follows online for reassuring her and making things seem ‘less scary’.
She wanted to share the update to help others feel ‘less alone’ and ‘less afraid’ and vowed to keep her fans in the loop.
