Manchester United wonderkid Kobbie Mainoo has been named on the side’s bench for today’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
The 17-year-old is yet to make his debut for the club but he was promoted to first-team training last week after a string of impressive performances for the U23s.
The midfielder was tipped to make the squad for Thursday’s Europa League win against Omonia but he was omitted as Scott McTominay scored an injury time winner.
The Scot is suspended for today’s clash, while Christian Eriksen is also not in the squad.

That’s left a spot for Mainoo and the teenager could be in line to make his debut against the Magpies.
Speaking to MUTV before kick-off, Ten Hag said Mainoo’s inclusion was more than just a gimmick and he’s ready to ‘deliver’ if called upon.
‘But it’s not [just] experience. It’s about they have to deliver,’ said Ten Hag.
‘You are here and to contribute, to the team, to the team’s success, so that’s why he’s here.’
Anthony Martial had hoped to return from a back injury that saw him limp out of last week’s win against Everton but the Frenchman failed a late fitness test.
Cristiano Ronaldo starts up front and is flanked by Jadon Sancho and Antony, with Marcus Rashford dropping to the bench.
Raphael Varane comes into the side, with Victor Lindelof dropping to the bench.
David De Gea starts in goal, with the Spaniard making his 500th appearance for the club.
