A young man has died after staggering into a beer garden with fatal stab wounds.
Drinkers desperately tried to help the 24-year-old and stop the bleeding while waiting for an ambulance to arrive in Kingston, southwest London, shortly before 8.30pm on Thursday.
But despite paramedics and an air ambulance being scrambled the victim died at the scene, opposite a park and The Albion pub, soon after.
The man has yet to be named but his family is being supported by specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination will take place on Sunday.
Scotland Yard has now launched a murder investigation.
