Get ready to be hit with some serious nostalgia, because the Spice Girls have only gone and dropped a new music video for Spice Up Your Life!
The band – consisting of Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, and Melanie B – are currently celebrating 25 years of their multi-million selling second album, Spiceworld.
We can’t believe it’s already been 25 years of the iconic album that gave us hits including Stop and Viva Forever, but we’re obsessed with the group giving the record its time to shine once again.
In honour of Spiceworld’s birthday, the girls have also dropped a brand new video which features unseen Spice Up Your Life clips.
The alternate vid is made up of footage filmed during the original shoot, hidden away in the archives since November 1997, when the music video we’ve come to know and love dropped.
In the new music video, the band looked so ahead of their time with futuristic make-up and outfits, as they steer a spaceship through the air while showcasing their vocal talents (get yourself a woman who can do both).

Spice Up Your Life has become one of the Spice Girls’ most iconic tracks with its positive message, and it’s no surprise the single topped the UK Singles Chart back in the day, making it the band’s fifth consecutive number one a the time.
Sharing their excitement for the surprise new video on YouTube, one fan commented that they even preferred it to the original.
‘As a long time Spice Girl fan, I’m surprised and shocked! Like what how why did hid it from us so long!!! This is absolutely ridiculously awesome!!!’, commented another.

A third asked: ‘Why can’t more artists do this? All that extra unused b-roll footage they can easily make alternate videos for anniversaries. It’s honestly such a good idea.’
Spice Up Your Life will also feature on the special edition of the Spiceworld album, dropping next month to mark the 25th anniversary.
Yes, the biggest girl band of all time will release new and expanded versions of the album on multiple formats, with the track listings curated by the band themselves.
Spiceworld25 shall bring together the original chart-topping album with some of their favourite bonus tracks and B-sides, along with previously unreleased live recordings from the Virgin Records archive.

Speaking of their upcoming release, the band said: ‘The Spiceworld era was such a fun time for us; we’d just had a number one album with Spice, we were travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album and we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.’
The iconic Spiceworld album, released on November 3, 1997, spent three weeks at number one on the Official Charts UK album chart and 48 weeks on the UK Top 40.
Unsurprisingly, it sold 192,000 copies in the UK in its first week, passing one million sales after just eight weeks, and reaching number one in 11 other territories.

The Spiceworld album will be released on multiple formats – including digital, 2CD, vinyl, and cassette – and possibly one of its highlights is the addition of fan favourite Step To Me.
Step To Me originally appeared on the soundtrack to a 1997 soft drinks campaign where fans were required to collect 20 pink ring pull tabs from cans in return for a four track ‘not in the shops’ CD single, but now, it can be all yours!
Other hits featuring on the Spiceworld25 record include Too Much, Saturday Night Divas, Move Over, Do It, and Walk Of Life, as well as a whole load of remixes for your parties.

Honestly, we feel like we’ve been shoved in a time machine back to the late 1990s – and we love it.
