Hearn has slammed Miller over the years for his failed drug tests (Picture: Getty)
Jarrell Miller has slammed Eddie Hearn for his handling of Conor Benn’s positive drug test, labelling the Matchroom chief a ‘hypocrite’.
Last week it was revealed that Benn, 26, had returned an ‘adverse finding’ for banned substance clomifene, leading to his grudge match against Chris Eubank Jr being postponed.
Benn’s failed test was conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association but was cleared by all tests carried out by UKAD, the British anti-doping authority, according to a statement released by his promoters last week.
Hearn and Kalle Sauerland, who promoted Eubank Jr, pushed for the fight to go ahead despite the British Boxing Board of Control ‘prohibiting’ the contest until it was officially called off on Thursday in what was a hugely damaging week for the sport.
In 2019, Miller was set to challenge Anthony Joshua for his heavyweight world titles only for the American to fail three VADA drug tests in quick succession, leading to his suspension. Hearn has condemned Miller’s conduct in the years since then, accusing him of ‘stone-cold cheating’ in an interview earlier this year.
Miller has now shared a video on his YouTube channel, calling Hearn the biggest jackass I know’ and criticising Hearn’s response to Benn’s positive test.
‘This boy’s a hypocrite, Eddie Hearn let’s give him a round of applause… Let’s get right into the number one topic right now. Of course, Eddie Hearn and his new golden goose failing a drugs test.

‘The ironic part about this whole thing is they’re fighting in the UK. UKAD and VADA are two different testing companies that they’ve been using.
‘He failed doing the VADA protocol, now Eddie Hearn is saying they’re not gonna recognise VADA. Basically [being] a hypocrite and contradicting himself.
‘They’re gonna uphold UKAD rules because he didn’t do anything wrong with UKAD. It’s so funny that this is the route he’s taking and the stance he’s taking on this situation. Of course with other fighters he’s thrown under the bus and especially me he threw under the bus crazy.’
Miller continued: ‘What makes it more funny is that Eddie Hearn’s really trying to dismiss it like it’s nothing when it’s his fighters. When it’s other fighters, he’s quick to say something about it. Eddie Hearn was more hurt about the AJ fight because of money.
‘He didn’t matter for me because Eddie was my co-promoter, I had more than one promoter that I worked with. So it’s a lot easier and a lot cheaper for him to throw me under the bus and cut all ties with me than actually digging to the bottom of things and try to find a way to fight it.
‘That’s the reason I was thrown under the bus. But Eddie we all know is a hypocrite. He’s worked with a tonne of fighters that have failed for worse than what I failed for.’
