Married At First Sight UK stars Thomas Hartley and Adrian Sanderson throw into question the future of their relationship in scenes set to air on Monday night, leaving us doubting they’re still together.

After Thomas shocked viewers last week when he revealed he wanted to quit the experiment before changing his mind on the decision, it looks like there’s still trouble in paradise as the couple addresses the U-turn.

In an exclusive clip ahead of tonight’s episode, the pair sit down for a picnic together to for their final dates of the series.

Before enjoying lunch with his partner, Thomas voices his doubts about the marriage. ‘My hope for this relationship at the moment is the size of a flea,’ he says in his confessional. ‘But hopefully, this picnic is going to lead us into a better head space.’

Turning his attention to their rollercoaster journey, Thomas tells Adrian: ‘We’ve been through the f*cking mill in this experience and I couldn’t even imagine us now sitting here having a civilised conversation when we first started.

‘I did not even expect to reach final dates as you well know.’

He then asks Adrian how he felt about him putting leave.

‘I didn’t know that was going to happen,’ Adrian replies. ‘I wish that we’d discussed it before we got there so we were both on the same page. It felt like it was the first time in a long time that we weren’t on the same page.

‘We put trust and honesty and communication and all of those sort of things in place.’

Adrian admits he doesn’t feel the relationship is ‘landing’ (Picture: E4)

Thomas goes on to take accountability for his actions, replying: ‘I should have discussed it with you before, I apologise for that. I wouldn’t do it again, but it was just a lot wasn’t it?’

‘It doesn’t feel like it’s landing,’ Adrian remarks. ‘That was a huge thing that happened yesterday for me.’

Is there any chance these two will leave the experiment as a couple? We’re not convinced.

Married At First Sight UK airs tonight at 9pm on E4.
