PM Liz Truss speech : disruption will be worth it for growth
Prime Minister Liz Truss will deliver her Tory conference speech today to explain why she thinks the current disruption caused by her economic policies will be worth it.
The PM will claim that “everyone will benefit” from the economic growth produced by her tax-cutting plan.
Her conference has been marred by u-turns and internal divisions and claims she’s lost control of her party – just a month after she took office. But she will go ahead with setting out her long-term vision for the country under her leadership.
She will try her best to reassure her party that they are on the right path.
“Whenever there is change, there is disruption,” she will tell party members on Wednesday.
“Not everyone will be in favour. But everyone will benefit from the result – a growing economy and a better future.”
