The i says Five British nationals captured by Russian-backed forces in Ukraine have been released as part of a prisoner swap, the Prime Minister has confirmed.
Liz Truss revealed the news in a tweet on Wednesday, as she visits New York for a UN summit where world leaders are discussing the war in Ukraine.
Ms Truss said: “Hugely welcome news that five British nationals held by Russian-backed proxies in eastern Ukraine are being safely returned, ending months of uncertainty and suffering for them and their families.”
