Daily Star Sunday – The truth will be out there

This week’s Sunday Papers are heavily dominated by royal news. But the Daily Star Sunday – not the biggest royal fan – reports on a story about secret agents, aliens and UFOs.

With its long-time enthusiasm for UFOs, the Daily Star leads on a story about aliens, saying “the truth will soon be out there”. The paper says a Hollywood producer has claimed secret agents tried to “insert details about aliens and UFOs into TV sci-fi series to ready the world for an official revelation about life from outer space”.

Prince William and Harry display ‘high tension’ at Queen vigil, says body language expert

Daily Star Sunday says Prince William and Harry showed signs they were tense and stressed as they joined to stand guard at the Queen’s coffin, a body expert has claimed.

The Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex — both dressed in uniform — stood vigil around their grandmother’s coffin as she lies in state at Westminster Hall on Saturday afternoon. Silence fell as members of the public looked on, with the only sound being the grandchildren’s footsteps on the stone.

William was positioned at one end of the coffin facing the north entrance and stood with his hands clasped in front and his head bowed. Harry was positioned at the opposite end, facing the area of the hall where thousands of people have entered over the last few days.

Roy Keane and Gary Neville set for semi-final showdown in World Cup of Pundits

Daily Star Sunday says Thirty-six pundits took to the starting line but only four remain as the high-stakes drama of punditry selection hurtles into its penultimate round.

Roy Keane took his second swipe at Alan Shearer with all the unblinking dominance that was missing from their on-pitch fracas back in 2001, with a 59% vote margin to knock the Premier League’s all-time goalscorer out, despite his recent karaoke efforts on Match of the Day. So too did Gary Neville defeat his opponent in Alex Scott by a landslide margin, while Graeme Souness suffered defeat to Arsenal legend Ian Wright (64% to 36%).

Only Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher found the semi-finals a prickly affair, with the roaring laughter of Micah Richards almost sending the punditry giant toppling in the quarter-final rounds. Alas, Richards versus Keane must be shelved until potentially next year.

Tracy Beaker star unrecognisable 18 years after BBC series as she appears on ITV

Daily Star Sunday says The Voice UK viewers couldn’t believe what they were seeing as a cast member of iconic CBBC series Tracy Beaker appeared on the ITV show.

Former actress Alicia Hooper tried her luck with the judges as she arrived to the studio with her dad, partner and their daughter ahead of her big performance.

Speaking to the camera, Alicia revealed that she was a music teacher and had been singing from a young age as her professional singer dad had taught her.

Paul Pogba’s brother among five charged by police in extortion case

Daily Star Sunday says Paul Pogba’s older brother has been charged along with four other people in an extortion case against the former Manchester United star, according to reports in France.

Mathias Pogba, 32, was charged following an alleged extortion attempt made against his World Cup-winning brother. It came after Paul, 29, claimed his older sibling and ‘childhood friends’ were part of a group that targeted him in Turin and demanded £11million for ‘protection services’ across 13 years.

Mathias was one of four people taken into police custody on Tuesday and Wednesday, where they were questioned by authorities. The elder Pogba reportedly presented himself to investigators before being placed in police custody.

King Charles ‘son’ says his daughter sees the late Queen ‘as a great-grandmother’

Daily Star Sunday says A man who claims he is the secret son of King Charles III and Camilla says his daughter sees the late Queen Elizabeth II “as a great-grandmother”.

Simon Dorante-Day, 56, has claimed to be the son of King Charles III and Camilla Parker Bowles for years and recently paid tribute to the monarch after her passing on September 8.

And the Portsmouth native, who grew up in Australia after being adopted has now said that his daughter Miriam sees the late monarch as a great grandmother.

‘Unbelievable’ Chris Kamara tribute by Middlesbrough fans earns pundit’s thanks

Daily Star Sunday says Chris Kamara has thanked Middlesbrough fans for their “unbelievable” tribute to him during their home game against Rotherham on Saturday night.

Kamara, who was born in Middlesbrough, was forced to quit Sky Sports at the end of last season due to the apraxia condition that affects his speech. Earlier this week he said that he now feels like “a fraud” as a broadcaster, prompting football supporters to rally around the Soccer Saturday legend.

And Boro fans went one step further at the Riverside Stadium during their Championship fixture on Saturday evening, unfurling a banner which read: “You’re not a fraud, you’re unbelievable Kammy.”
