UK weather: More heatwaves on way as temperatures forecast to hit 28C this week

The Daily Mirror says the warm summer weather is expected to continue this week, with the Met Office predicting clear skies and light winds for most of the UK – and scorching highs of up to 28C as the week progresses.

Blue skies are highly likely for Monday, forecasters say, with temperatures due to be significantly milder than Sunday.

Many parts of the UK will enjoy temperatures of 20C and above on Monday, though it won’t be anywhere near as hot as the end of last week, which saw highs of 33C in some parts of the South East on Friday – the hottest day of the year so far.

However, temperatures are set to soar later in the week.
