Metro – It’s Russian roulette 

Hopes of peace in Ukraine have been given a boost after Russia vowed to scale back its military onslaught, Metro reports. The paper reports Mr Zelensky has indicated he would be willing to agree to a “declaration of neutrality and give up hopes of joining Nato”. The front page highlights the USA’s reaction – not to be fooled by the ‘move’ from Moscow. 

The paper features an image of the Queen at Prince Philip’s memorial service – looking tearful.
