TESTING TIMES PCR test: Do I still need one for travel?
The Sun says GOING holiday has become even more costly this week as rules on PCR tests shifted due to the Omicron variant.
The emergence on Omicron has meant that ten southern African countries have been added to the UK’s travel red list.
There are concerns that the new variant might not respond well to vaccines, but scientists don’t yet have enough information to determine this.
In the meantime the government has slapped more rules on travellers and reinforced mandatory mask wearing in shops and on public transport.
Now every traveller who is coming into the UK will need to take a PCR test.
