Rishi Sunak’s plan to crush EU: Chancellor to slash tax to keep Brexit Britain on top
The Daily Express says RISHI SUNAK is preparing to slash City of London taxes to bolster Brexit Britain’s reputation as a global financial hub.
The Chancellor is thought to be ready to cut a tax surcharge on bank profits when he unveils his Budget next week. He will reduce the levy by more than 60 percent in a bid to continue to attract businesses to the UK and compete with EU finance centres.
His decision to reduce surcharges from eight percent to three percent comes after he announced earlier this year his intentions to hike general corporation tax rates from 19 to 25 percent from 2023.
