Police officer sacked for paying just 10p for £1 Jaffa Cakes at charity stall
The Daily Mirror says a “dishonest” West Yorkshire Police constable has been sacked for paying 10p for Jaffa Cakes that had been priced at £1 at a charity raising funds for a trip to Uganda.
PC Chris Dwyer was found guilty of gross misconduct for underpaying the two packets of Jaffa Cakes that were priced at 50p each.
PC Dwyer had underpaid for the items from Halifax Police Station’s confectionary stall, where items were being sold for 50p.
It meant Dwyer should have paid £1 for his selection of two packs of Jaffas, but only paid 10p, YorkshireLive reports.
