Jeff Bezos told to pay more tax as he sits down with Boris in New York
The Metro says the prime minister urged the world’s richest man to pay more tax in a face-to-face meeting in New York on Monday.
Boris Johnson ‘raised the issue of taxation’ with Amazon boss Jeff Bezos after estimates put the company’s tax-to-turnover ratio at just 0.37%.
The Tory leader said he would ‘certainly’ probe Mr Bezos on paying his fair share, as well as improving workers rights, while on his way to the UK diplomatic residence.
