9/11: The London teen who dreamed of being reunited with father before he died a hero in September 11 attacks
The i says on the morning of 11 September 2001, 16-year-old Londoner Godwin Junior Forde dreamed about a new life with his father and sister who lived in New York. But by the time he came back from school that day, his life had changed forever.
Godwin Junior switched on the television to see the World Trade Centre had been attacked. His 38-year-old father, Godwin Forde, worked as a security guard for Morgan Stanley on the 42nd floor of the South Tower, the second of the twin towers to be struck by a hijacked plane and the first to collapse.
