Afghanistan: 13 Britons evacuated to Doha after the Taliban allows 200 foreigners to leave Kabul
The i says thirteen British nationals who had been stranded in Afghanistan have safely arrived in Doha on a chartered flight, following a US agreement with the Taliban.
Around 200 foreigners left on the Qatar Airways flight which took off from Kabul airport. It marks the first air evacuation of people stuck in the country since US troops withdrew nine days ago.
The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab expressed his gratitude to officials in Qatar for facilitating the safe passage of the flight.
