Food ‘injected with mystery substance’ at Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s
The Metro says food at three west London supermarkets is suspected to have been contaminated after being ‘injected with needles.’
Anyone who bought an item from Tesco Express, Little Waitrose or Sainsbury’s Local on Fulham Palace Road yesterday evening is being told to throw it away.
The supermarkets were placed on lockdown after the incident last night and one man has been arrested on suspicion of trying to cause public harm or anxiety.
Hammersmith and Fulham Council issued a rare ’emergency alert’ on its social media pages, warning people of the possible risk their food has been contaminated.
