Frank Ocean’s Luxury Homer Brand
Frank Ocean is developing his own luxury brand called Homer – the Brand’s name “represents carving history into stone” according to a press release.
For Homer’s debut, Ocean has offered a glimpse into what can be expected. So far, fine and high jewellery, printed scarves – all of which will only be available at the by-appointment Homer store in New York’s Bowery district. Among the pieces are 18K gold jewels, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel and American lab-grown diamonds.
Homer is, surprisingly, using the old-school method of catalogues to sell his collection – which can be picked up in-store on request at homer.com. The products are designed in New York City and handmade in Italy, with diamonds from a lab in America.
According to the brand, inspirations for the collection include “childhood obsessions” and “heritage as a fantasy.” The catalogue, which was shot by Ocean and done in collaboration with Tyrone Lebon, features detailed product info and campaign shots of the debut line.
