Pritchard: A fifth of Covid hospital cases are aged 18 to 34
The Times says Amanda Pritchard, the new NHS England chief executive, has urged young people to get vaccinated as she revealed that one in five people in hospital in England with Covid are aged between 18 and 34.
Pritchard said that about 1,000 young adults were “really unwell” in hospital, adding the number of them being admitted was four times higher than the peak last winter.
