Jack Grealish set for Man City medical as Aston Villa agree to sell captain in British record £100m transfer
The i says Jack Grealish is set to complete a British record £100 million transfer to Manchester City from Aston Villa this week.
The two clubs have agreed the terms of the deal and Grealish is now poised to undertake a medical and finalise personal terms at the Etihad Stadium. City expect to complete the formalities of the transfer in time for the player to be involved in the Community Shield against Leicester City at Wembley on Saturday.
City emerged as strong favourites to sign Grealish, 25, in the second half of last season and stepped up their interest when they submitted a formal bid for the Villa skipper at the end of last week, ahead of the England international’s return to pre-season training following his post-Euro 2020 summer break.
