US tycoon’s son faces jail over £5.8m divorce battle
The Times says a billionaire’s son who hosted parties for Sir Elton John, Madonna and Cheryl Cole faces a six-week jail sentence after failing to pay his former wife’s maintenance in a £5.8 million divorce battle.
Preston Haskell IV, a Texan and the son of the construction mogul Preston Haskell III, is embroiled in a five-year divorce row with the model Alesia Vladimirovna Haskell, which has now reached the Court of Appeal in London.
Judges were told that the son has amassed a fortune in real estate, restaurants and international business, and in 2013 was linked with a bid to buy Coventry City Football Club.
