NHS workers receive 3% pay rise ‘in recognition of unique impact of pandemic’ after delay fury
The i says NHS staff will receive a 3 per cent pay rise, it has been confirmed – after a day of confusion over whether frontline staff would receive the settlement.
The increase will apply to nurses, paramedics, consultants, dentists and salaried GPs, the Department of Health said.
Ministers had been due to announce the long-awaited increase in the Commons earlier on Wednesday, but there was speculation that wrangling with the Treasury had caused the delay.
