Boris Johnson says that without levelling up Britain can fire on only one cylinder
The Times says Britain is firing on only “one cylinder”, Boris Johnson said today as he called for a national effort to improve the economic performance of the North and Midlands.
In a speech in the West Midlands on his levelling-up agenda, the prime minister said the UK had one of the most unbalanced economies in western Europe, putting it at a disadvantage against its competitors.
