It comes after black England players Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho were targeted with racist abuse on social media after the team lost Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against Italy on penalties.
i can reveal that 41 per cent of black, Asian, and minority ethnic (Bame) fans in the UK are hesitant to attend live events over fears of racial abuse. Younger fans are less worried, with 29 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds expressing concerns.
