Financial firm Bessemer Trust asks to be withdrawn from Britney Spears’s conservatorship case
ABC News says a wealth management firm that has acted as a co-conservator of Britney Spears’s estate has asked to be withdrawn from the case after the pop superstar’s testimony that she opposed the arrangement.
Spears, 39, claimed she is being abused and exploited by her family and carers in a conservatorship that has been in place for the past 13 years.
Financial firm Bessemer Trust has asked a Los Angeles court to withdraw from the case after Spears said she felt the arrangement established in 2008 was abusive and “doing more harm than good”.
