The Daily Mail writes Winston Marshall’s millionaire Brexiteer father has backed him for quitting Mumford and Sons after he became the victim of ‘cancel culture’ when he praised a US conservative journalist.
Hedge fund tycoon Sir Paul Marshall, 61, shared his son’s Medium.com essay on Twitter with the caption: ‘Very proud of my son!’.
Mr Marshall, who played banjo in the folk rock band, quit after he was pilloried by a ‘viral mob’ for the ‘sin’ of praising a right wing reporter on social media.
