Covid-19: India to give adults free shots after rise in infections
India’s PM Narendra Modi has said India will provide free Covid-19 vaccines to all adults in an attempt to control the pandemic that has led India to the world’s second-highest tally of infections.
His announcement on Monday follows weeks of criticism over the PM’s handling of the vaccine rollout that has covered fewer than 5 per cent of India’s estimated adult population of 950 million.
