Schools reopen across France despite spike in ICU admissions
French schools reopen amid an ICU admissions spike.
Schools across France have reopened following a three-week closure. The reopening of nursery and primary schools is the first step out of the country’s partial lockdown.
Despite the reopening, the number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units (ICU) has reached their highest level since last spring.
According to authorities the daily numbers of new infections have started to decrease across France and are providing encouraging signs about the impact of restrictions that started at the beginning of the month.
