Four police officers fall ill from exposure to ‘unknown chemical’ at flats
The Metro says Four police officers fell ill after exposure to an unknown chemical when they were called to reports of a ‘seriously injured’ man at a block of flats.
The man, in his early 30s, had to be given CPR at the scene and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Four of the officers who responded to the call then needed medical attention but are said to be recovering.
The scene at Park Hill flats off Duke Street in Sheffield was cordoned off as tests were run to establish how dangerous the chemical was to people in the surrounding area.
