Lola Young was forced to run off stage gagging and feeling like she was going to vomit while performing at Coachella.
The singer, 24, was propelled to fame after her song Messy went viral on TikTok, her first song to hit the UK top 40.
Before that, she covered Together in Electric Dreams for the 2021 John Lewis Christmas advert.
Lola is among the acts performing at this year’s Coachella alongside the likes of Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and Green Day.
But it appears the nerves of performing in front of thousands of people got to the artist as she shared a video of herself retching while onstage.
Sharing a compilation video of her set to TikTok, Lola can be seen singing and dancing on stage in khaki green trousers and a matching bralet top, stopping at numerous points to gag before asking for a bucket.
‘Not me doing my first Coachella & gagging & throwing up all the way through the set,’ she wrote on the first clip, adding: ‘It was getting real bad here guys.’
After asking someone backstage, ‘Can I have a bucket please?’, Lola gets back to twerking onstage to the joy of her cheering fans.
‘That wouldn’t have been cute if I threw up,’ she told the crowd after dancing, admitting in the captions that she was ‘trying to hang in there with all her power.’
She also joked ‘If ur coming today maybe it’ll be messier,’ ahead of her second set of the weekend at the California event.
Additionally, she wrote: ‘i was nervous guys and it was 40 bloody degrees. Im back today, same time, same tent love ya x.’
