2023 Women’s World Cup: What is the Round of 8? Fixtures, TV schedule
The 2023 Women’s World Cup has been the most thrilling edition of the tournament so far – with penalties, red cards, shock upsets and surprises along the way.
The women’s game is truly growing around the world.
This tournament has seen four-time world Champions USA knocked out in the Round of 16, whilst Olympic champions Canada as well as Brazil, two-time world champions Germany and Italy fail to make it out of the group stages.
Now the competition is through the group stages and past the Round of 16 and over two days the competition is about to get cut in half again.
The quarter-finals (also known as the Round of 8 or the last-8) will feature Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Australia, France, England and Colombia.
The remaining eight teams will play Friday – Saturday. The teams who win will book their spot in the semi-finals.
