Rita Ora and Taika Waititi took glam to a whole new level at Unicef’s Winter Gala(Picture: Getty Images Europe)

Can we please take a moment to appreciate how utterly delicious Rita Ora and Taika Waititi looked at Unicef’s Winter Gala in St Barts on Thursday.

There were bedazzled opera gloves, an ab-baring crop top complete with winding feathered train – oh, and don’t even get us started on Taika’s velvet jacket and smart black slacks. Dapper. As. Hell.

The reported newlyweds swung by the glitzy bash – which celebrated the humanitarian agency’s worldwide efforts – just hours after touching down on the Caribbean island.

Rita and Taika, 32 and 47 respectively, were joined by the likes of Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup, Rachel Zoe and Luke Evans at the gala, which also featured a live auction and performances by Drake and Lenny Kravitz.

It’s been a few months since hit-maker Rita and her director beau are said to have tied the knot in London, but the Anywhere singer only recently revealed how she and Taika actually met.

In November, Rita shared that she and Taika had actually known each other for almost five years before becoming romantically involved, explaining to Vogue: ‘We met in LA and it was through friends and it was amazing, very casual and then we stayed friends for like four, five years and it was just a natural thing.’

It wasn’t until the now (apparently) happily-married couple both found themselves working in Australia that their relationship heated up.

In 2020, Rita was Down Under working on The Voice Australia, while Taika was shooting Thor: Love and Thunder.

‘We were both in Australia doing two separate jobs and we didn’t really know that many people in Australia so we hung out and that was it.

‘We went to a friend’s birthday party and that’s when everything clicked,’ Rita revealed.

Taika reiterated how long he and Rita have known each other in a recent interview with Louis Theroux, saying on the documentary maker’s Interviews series: ‘We’ve actually known each other for years before we got together.

‘The internet thinks we met in Australia. You know who brought her to my house was Robert Pattinson.

‘He brought her over when I was having a little barbecue thing and we got chatting and we became friends, we hit it off.’

Earlier this year Taika posted a photo of the pair on the first night they ever met to mark Valentine’s Day.

‘First photo the night we met four years ago. We’ve been mates ever since. Then a year ago we decided to “complicate” things but it just got easier. Happy Valentines Day to my bestie,’ he wrote.

All together now: ‘Awww!’

The home of Dame Vivienne Westwood has been covered in tributes left by fans after her death aged 81.

Dame Vivienne was a world-renowned fashion designer, and worked with some of the biggest celebrities in the world throughout her decorated career.

It was announced on Thursday that the iconic designer had died, with a statement announcing she did so ‘peacefully’ and surrounded by her family.

Naturally, tributes began pouring in for the acclaimed artist, from fans, friends and clients – including the likes of David Beckham and Boy George.

Now fans have flocked to her home in Clapham, South London, to leave flowers, cards and notes for the late Dame Vivienne and her family.

Photographs taken of the star’s London home see pink roses entwined on the gates, along with decorations made from safety pins, a nod to her career in fashion.

Candles and house plants also adorned the steps outside Westwood’s home, while the flowers ranged from roses to tulips and everything in between, all the colours of the rainbow.

The gates to the home remained closed on the day following Dame Vivienne’s death, with fans respecting the family’s privacy by leaving their gifts outside.
