If you prefer your soaps with an extra helping of horror then you’re in luck as the nation’s biggest serial dramas get into the spirit of Halloween, serving up some spook-tacular storylines.
EastEnders has been scarily good this year, having scooped award after award, and next week it delivers once more, with added surprises on the cards, with Linda Carter getting a huge shock, while Sharon Watts’ son Albie is kidnapped.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, sees the eponymous village rocked by another death, with suspects aplenty as a lock-in is staged in a bid to find out who is to blame for the murder.
Hollyoaks serves up high camp in the form of a masquerade ball, redefining what the term shock twist means with an outcome not even we could’ve predicted.
Finally, the residents of the cobbles celebrate Halloween at the bistro with a fancy dress party, but the biggest shock in Coronation Street is that Daniel Osborne makes quite the discovery.

EastEnders

Linda is determined to throw a Halloween party at the Vic, much like she used to do with Mick. Elaine’s not so sure it’s the right thing to do in the wake of Jay’s accident but, after Linda proves to be her rock, she reconsiders. Linda gets into the Halloween spirit but, upon heading upstairs, she receives the shock of her life, with the Knights rallying around her in her hour of need.

Sharon is threatened by Dorian, who makes it quite clear that he knows where she and Albie live. Keanu comes to her rescue, showing up to protect her, with Sharon subsequently rewarding him by allowing him to spend time with Albie, unaware of his secret plot to destroy her. Keanu, however, later returns home with shocking news – Albie has been kidnapped!

Rocky confides in Harvey that he owes Nish for a loan and has no way of paying it back. Harvey suggests he asks for lower repayments, but Nish explains to downcast Rocky that there are hefty financial penalties for changing the terms of their contract
Coronation Street
Daisy makes her decision – but is it too late? (Picture: ITV)
Daniel grows suspicious of Daisy, who subsequently admits to Jenny she’s in love with both Ryan and Daniel but in different ways, with Jenny urging her to make a decision. Daisy gives it some thought and ultimately tells Ryan that it’s Daniel she loves, but Daniel has followed Ryan, determined to find out what’s going on. Daniel subsequently confronts Ryan and confronts him, with Ryan confessing his love for Daisy.

Aadi reveals he’s been offered a job shelf stacking at Freshco and by way of celebration, he’s invited Asha and Nina over for afternoon tea, Courtney feigns enthusiasm. With Courtney a no show and Asha running late, Aadi and Nina tuck in but they’re taken aback by the arrival of Darren who has news from Courtney.

Lydia arrives at the Woolpack with news of Craig’s death, with subsequent scenes seeing the Dingle clan stage a lock-in at the Woolpack, with Lydia questioning everyone’s their whereabouts on the night of the murder.

Cain and Sam field Lydia’s questions, with a flashback revealing that the two had Craig tied up in remote barn as the truth is revealed. their tale is of particular interest, with Sam subsequently confirming that he’s held back some information.

Aaron fight back when the Dingles accuse him, with him throwing attention onto Charity, who is clearly harbouring a secret. Flashbacks reveal that Charity and Chas had discussed the Craig situation but hat the conversation shifts to another matter entirely.

The day of the masquerade ball arrives and Sienna is preparing for Rafe’s big proposal, unaware that Camilla and Dilly are planning on sabotaging things for her. Ethan, meanwhile, declares his love for Sienna, just as she’s accidentally knocked down by Leela, who was trying to get her to the manor on time. Rafe races to the rescue, with Sienna the belle of the ball when she gets a new outfit just in time for Rafe to pop the question – but just who is it that he intends to wed?

Peri finds herself under the spotlight, with Rayne’s fans believing she had something to do with the murder. In a bid to show a united front, Peri throws the Halloween party organised by Rayne prior to her death, streaming it online, but soon her friends start to suspect her guilt, much to her upset.

Worried sick for her daughter after an online user threatens to drop news about Rayne’s killer, Leela suggests that Peri go on the run, much to the horror of Joel, who urges her to reconsider.
