Breaking – At least 12 dead after boat carrying migrants capsizes in Channel
A large search and rescue operation is under way in the English Channel after a boat carrying migrants capsized.
At least 12 people have died, according to French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin. Two people are missing and several are injured, he adds.
It’s not yet clear how many people were on board the vessel when it capsized off the coast of Le Portel in northern France.
