Leaked email shows Novak Djokovic can play Australian Open despite vaccine stance
The Daily Mirror says World No 1 tennis star Novak Djokovic looks to have finally had the green light to compete at the Australian Open, after a leaked email appeared to show unvaccinated players will be allowed to compete.
Djokovic has refused to reveal his vaccine status, which led to many believing that the 20-time Grand Slam champion would be unable to defend his crown Down Under because he refused to confirm whether he had been double jabbed.
As a result, Australian immigration minister Alex Hawke recently revealed that anyone travelling into Australia must have had two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including any player wishing to compete at the Grand Slam event.
