The Metro leads on the resignation of Scotland’s first minister Humza Yousaf, saying he quit “in tears” on Monday. He has seen his authority crumble in the days since he announced his government would withdraw from a political partnership with the Scottish Greens.
Mr Yousaf, 39, explained his decision to call time on his leadership in a statement at the first minister’s official residence of Bute House.
