    The Observer – Riots will set back efforts to rebuild our broken justice system, warns minister

    The hundreds of arrests made after violent rioting will hamper attempts to rebuild the crisis-hit criminal justice system, the justice secretary has warned, as ministers begin to assess the long-term fallout from the worst outbreak of public disorder in more than a decade, The Observer says. 

    Elsewhere, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz wrapped up their first week together on the campaign trail with a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, as the Democratic party seeks to further galvanize its base and win over undecided voters in battleground states such as Nevada.
