    M23 rebels claim thousands of surrendered Congolese soldiers enter into "ideological retraining"

    Kinshasa estimates that more than 7,000 people have been killed in eastern DRC-Congo since M23 rebels began seizing territory in the centre of the country this year, while the Rwanda-backed rebels claim to be conscripting soldiers who surrendered to their onslaught.
