Firing in Kashmir border - Indian Army kills two Pakistani soldiers

2 troops killed by Indian Army in Kashmir

Pakistan’s Army said that two Pakistani soldiers were killed by Indian fire in Kashmir overnight, in Kashmir.

Lt. Col. Devender Anand, an Indian army spokesman, said Pakistan initiated the fighting by firing bullets and mortar shells along the Line of Control that separates the two sides. India did not report any casualties.

Both India and Pakistan are blaming the other for the latest violence in the disputed Himalayan region. As this conflict has become more intense digitally, with both countries using any PR opportunity to rally the masses.

Pakistani Army Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar tweeted that Indian troops opened fire and Pakistan “responded befittingly.”

Nuclear Neighbours

The two nuclear-armed neighbours routinely accuse each other of unprovoked attacks in violation of a 2003 cease-fire agreement along the highly militarized Line of Control.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Twitter warned the world of the “rogue Indian regime”, which he said was now threatening “the stability of the global system”.

PM Imran Khan’s remarks came hours after India’s 15-year-long information warfare operation to malign Pakistan around the world was uncovered by an independent Europe-focused NGO, the EU DisinfoLab.

Pakistan accuses India of genocide in Kashmir

Pakistan accuses Indian of mass genocide in the region and a recent report by Kashmir Media Service suggest that India has killed 100000 innocent people in that region.  The Pakistani Army issued a statement saying that the Indian military forces have continued to commit a genocide of Kashmiris for over seven decades.

Kashmir is split between the two countries and both claim it in its entirety. India and Pakistan have fought two wars over Kashmir since their independence from British rule in 1947.
