Virus alarm doctor dies as total deaths increase to 636

Arab News says the death toll in mainland China’s coronavirus outbreak has risen to 636, including a doctor who got into trouble with authorities in the communist country for sounding an early warning about the disease threat. dr who gave early warnign about coronavirus dies

Dr Li Wenliang, 34, was reportedly reprimanded for “spreading rumours” in December. 

Li had worked at a hospital in the central city of Wuhan – where the virus was first identified. The outbreak has spread to 12 countries, triggered travel restrictions and quarantines around the world and a crisis inside the country of 1.4 billion. 

Meanwhile, a newborn discovered to be infected with the virus just 36 hours after birth has become the youngest known patient. The number of people affected globally has risen to over 31,000.

Canada train derails and crude oil catches fire only months after similar crash 11 km away

RT News reports residents of the Canadian village of Guernsey have been evacuated after a train carrying crude oil train crash in Canadaderailed and caught fire. 

The accident was just a few kilometres away from the settlement that was affected by a similar disaster last year. 

Videos on social media show black smoke rising from the pile of cars crammed into each other. Thirty-one cars derailed and a dozen of them caught fire. 

A voluntary evacuation order was issued to the village over smoke concerns. And the crash is currently under investigation.

Marlo Pritchard, president of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, said in a press conference that it is a “concern” the two crashes were so close together.

In a joint investigation, BBC News and the Daily Mail obtained a recording of Bravery telling his care workers about a plan to kill and go to jail. 

But his care provider denies this, saying they had “no knowledge or records of the disclosure.”

5-year-old girl raped on the grounds of the US Embassy in New Dehli

CNN says a man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl on the grounds of the US Embassy in New Dehli, according to police. 5-year-old raped on grounds of US embassy in new dehli

The girl was playing outside the embassy’s staff quarters before she “was lured and raped by a neighbour,” Eish Singhal, deputy commissioner of Dehli police, told CNN. 

The girl was able to identify the 25-year-old male suspect, who has been arrested and charged with rape, police said. 

“She was able to identify him point blank and there is no doubts over this,” Singhal said. 

The child is the daughter of a housekeeper employed by the embassy. In a statement to CNN, a US Embassy spokesperson said: “We were deeply disturbed by the alleged misconduct.”

The 33-year-old British star told her followers she had kept quiet about her sexuality as she feared she would be accused of jumping on the bandwagon. 

After news broke Jamil was to become a judge on a new TV series about voguing many questioned her suitability because she wasn’t part of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Jamil wrote on Twitter: “I added a rainbow to my name when I felt ready a few years ago, as it’s not easy within the South Asian community to be accepted, and I always answered honestly if ever straight-up asked about it on Twitter. 

“But I kept it low because I was scared of the pain of being accused of performative bandwagon jumping, over something that caused me a lot of confusion, fear and turmoil when I was a kid.”
