The documentary shows Taylor as a self-critical, grown-up woman ready to deliver a message beyond music.

Selena Gomez talks about moving past emotional abuse

CNN says pop star Selena Gomez said she experienced emotional abuse during her on-again, off-again relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

In an interview with NPR, she discussed her ups and downs with Bieber and their final goodbye in March 2018. 

“I’ve found strength in it,” she said. “It’s dangerous to stay in a victim mentality. And I’m not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse.”

When asked if she specifically meant “emotional abuse,” she responded, “Yes.”

BAFTA ‘at risk of losing credibility’ because of lack of diversity, Time’s Up CEO warns

Sky News says BAFTA is in danger of losing credibility with talent if it doesn’t change and reflect the diversity of the industry, the CEO of Time’s Up UK told Sky News.

Dame Heather Rabbatts said the awards need to urgently “address the structures that are meaning only certain films are making their way through the system.” 

The BAFTAs faced a backlash when it announced its nominations this year as no female directors were nominated and the acting nominees consisted of an all-white-line-up.

Peppa Pig voice Harley Bird to step down

BBC News says the actress who voices Peppa Pig is leaving the role after more than a decade. new peppa pig actor

Harley Bird,18, has voiced the character since she was 5. She said the TV series had given her “unforgettable memories.” 

Nine-year-old Amelie Bea Smith will no take over the role and her first appearance as will be a Valentines Day episode. 

Bird, now in her final year of A-Levels won a BAFTA for the role in 2011 and performed songs for the Peppa Pug album.

Popular YouTuber admits to faking his own girlfriend’s death to gain subscribers

WTX News says a YouTube star admitted to faking his girlfriend’s death and holding a seance to try to contact her spirit, in an attempt to boost his number of subscribers. youtuber fakes gf death for subscribers

Jason Ethier, better known as ImJayStation, said last week that his girlfriend, fellow YouTuber Alexia Marano, had been killed by a drunk driver. 

In the days after, he posted a video at what he said was a memorial space for his girlfriend. Another video soon followed in which he tried to contact her spirit. 

In his latest video, the Canadian YouTuber said Marano is alive and well, but she has ended their relationship.
