Justin Bieber is releasing new music and going on tour in 2020

CNN reports Justin Bieber will be giving his fans new music, a tour and a docuseries next year, five years on from his last album. Bieber is back

The 25-year-old announced the new projects on Christmas Eve. 

“As humans we are imperfect,” Bieber says in a video posted on his YouTube page. “My past, my mistakes, all the things I have been through. I believe that I am right where I’m supposed to be.”

His new single -Yummy- will be released on 3 January.

Songwriter Allee Willis dies

Music-News reports U.S songwriter Allee Willis, who helped pen the theme tune for TV series Friends, has died aged 72. 

The musician passed away on Tuesday after suffering cardiac arrest. Her partner, Prudence Fenton, is said to be in “total shock” over the news. songwriter allee willis dies

Fenton paid tribute on Instagram, writing: “Rest in Boogie Wonderland” – a reference to the hit the late star wrote for Earth, Wind & Fire. She also penned tracks for artists such as the Pet Shop Boys and The Pointer Sisters.

The film has been out for less than two weeks and reviews for Cats has been appalling. 

The film has earned just £15.3 million internationally in its first six days making it likely it’ll be unable to recoup its $100 million budget.

George Michel’s sister found dead on Christmas Day

Sky News reports George Micheal’s sister was found dead at her home on Christmas Day, the third anniversary of the singer’s death.george micheals sister dies on 3rd anniversary of his death

Melanie Panayiotou, 55, was discovered at her home in Hampstead, London, on the evening of 25 December by her sister.  

Her death comes exactly three years after the death of her brother George Micheal who was found dead on Christmas Day 2016 at the age of 53. He died of natural causes.

Donald Trump cut from Home Alone 2 in Canada

BBC News says Canada’s national broadcaster CBC has defended its deleting of a scene featuring Donald Trump from the hit 90s film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. trump scene cut from home alone 2

CBC spokesman Chuck Thompson said eight minutes needed to be cut from the film to make room for adverts. 

He added the edits were made in 2014 before Trump was elected are was not politically motivated. 

Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr tweeted a link to a story on Thursday that called the edit ‘pathetic’.
