VIOLENT HATE CRIME AGAINST DISABLED HAS RISEN BY 41 PER CENT IN THE LAST YEAR, FIGURES SUGGEST

The Independent says disability hate crimes involving violence has risen by 41 per cent. 25 police forces sent their Violent hate crime against disabled has risen by 41 per cent in the last year, figures suggestrecords to The Leonard Cheshire charity and it shows there were 5,015 offences of disability hate crime recorded by police in 2018-19 compared to 4,111 the previous year. And significantly, the number of cases that resulted in charges has drooped said the charity. The charity’s chief executive said: “Hate crime against disabled people is significantly up with worrying increases in violent offences. Low prosecution levels are unacceptable and disabled people will feel a sense of injustice.”

IRELAND HITS BACK AT NO 10 ACCUSATIONS THAT IT SABOTAGED BREXIT DEAL

The Guardian reports the Irish government has hit back at “misinformation” and “pressure” from Britain as talks over a Ireland hits back at No 10 accusations that it sabotaged Brexit dealBrexit deal started to collapse. Ireland’s foreign minister said that his administration was working “flat out” for a deal. But Downing Street says Dublin had sabotaged any chance of compromise.  “No country wants a deal more than Ireland but we will not strike a deal at any cost,” he said. The prime minister spoke to his Irish counterpart on Tuesday. And Downing Street said that “both sides strongly reiterated their desire to reach a Brexit deal” and hoped to meet in person later in the week.

COPS ARREST 19 AFTER 50 TONS OF HEROIN AND COCAINE ARE HIDDEN IN CHILDREN’S JUICE BOXES

The Sun says nineteen Brits have been arrested for allegedly bringing 50 tons of drugs into the UK over 18 months. The drugs had a street value of more than £38 million and are thought to be part of the UK’s biggest drug racket. In a series Cops arrest 19 after 50 tons of heroin and cocaine are hidden in children's juice boxesof raids yesterday, 13 men aged from 24 to 59 were arrested in London, Manchester, Stockport, St Helens, Bolton, Warrington, Dewsbury and Leeds. Four men and two women held in the Neverlands in April are awaiting extradition to the UK. All 19 are believed to be part of the UK arm of an organised crime group that used Dutch and British front firms to import the drugs from Holland.
