TRUMP: US-TALIBAN PEACE TALKS ARE ‘DEAD’

Aljazeera News says President Trump said talks with the Taliban are off and he’s still thinking about withdrawing Trump: US-Taliban peace talks are ‘dead’troops in the country. “They’re dead. They’re dead.” Trump has told reporters. Following months of negotiations with the Taliban leaders, Trump abruptly ended peace talks when he announced he was cancelling secret meetings. Trump cited the Taliban attack in Kabul last week as a factor to cancelling meetings. The attack in Kabul killed 12. Including one US soldier. It is unclear if the talks are permanently dead or just suspended.

INDIA IS TRYING TO RECONNECT WITH THE LOST LUNAR LANDER ON THE SURFACE OF THE MOON

CNN says India has found the lander from its Chandrayann-2 mission but is unable to establish communication. The India is trying to reconnect with the lost lunar lander on the surface of the moon historic mission seemed to end in failure on Saturday after scientists lost contact with the Vikram lander just before it touched down on the lunar surface. The Indian Space and Research Organisation (ISRO) spokesperson said cameras from the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter had taken a thermal image of the lander and efforts were underway to establish a signal. It is unclear how damaged the lander is. All was well until it reached an altitude of 2 Kilometers above the moon’s surface. Chairman of ISRO said: “Subsequently the communication from the lander to ground station was lost. The data is being analysed.”
